The Community Development and Empowerment Program (PPM) is a form of social and environmental responsibility for the community around the operational area. This program aims to develop community capacity both individually and collectively for sustainable welfare improvement.
The PPM program was initiated based on the results of social mapping and company initiatives by looking at community needs and in line with government programs. There are 5 main programs in accordance with the company's PPM pillars, namely: education, health, economic development, infrastructure, and socio-culture. Its implementation is carried out through collaboration with relevant stakeholders through a transparent system.
In terms of employment in the operational area, the company always prioritizes workers from the local area with an average absorption of 60% each year from all business units and partner companies.

In 2023, the Sapta Harja Harita Nickel K3 Management System successfully obtained the Occupational Safety and Health Management System certification from the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration and the ISO 45001:2018 certificate, which is an international standard that regulates occupational health and safety management systems.
ONC is committed to achieving the target of zero fatality, including reducing work-related injuries and illnesses. Routine training, inspections, to disciplinary actions and programs to improve the Company's K3 culture are implemented so that every individual truly has a sense of responsibility for the safety of themselves and their colleagues.
